Middlesex County Soil Maps
The soil survey of Middlesex County was completed by the Soil Conservation Service in 1989, but has not been published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Middlesex Conservation District offers soil maps and an Interim Soil Report for Middlesex County for a nominal fee.
Publication Scale: Order 2 mapping at 1:25,000 scale with minimum delineations 6-8 acres.

Historic Aerial Photos
The District offers the service of researching historic aerial photos of Essex and Middlesex Counties. We will scan photos and send them by either email or postal service. Photos available are from 1938, 1952, 1971, 1985, and 1995, although not all sites have all the years available. Each scanned photo is $10 and must be prepaid. If you would like to order a photo, please fax a request to Middlesex Conservation District at 978-392-1305 with a locus map of your site and the years needed. We will contact you to indicate what years are available. As soon as we receive your check, we will send the photos.
